WELCOME TO FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH IN SPRUCE PINE

Whether you are new to the area or have lived here your entire life, welcome!  Since 1893 we have gathered to worship God with all our hearts and minds, seeking to nurture and strengthen each other and our community at large.  This website gives you a few glimpses about our life together. If you are looking for a place to connect, call or email us - or better yet, come be our guest.

Sunday, October 8th at 3:00pm

Everyone in the community is invited to celebrate and give thanks to God for the furry and feathery creatures that brings us so much joy and companionship.  All visitors and animals of all sizes are welcome!  This is an outdoor service with plenty of room to spread out.  The service will include hymns, prayers, readings & the blessing of each individual animal.  Bring a lawn chair & leash or cage for your animal.  We will collect pet food donations for Mitchell County Animal Rescue.

It was a joy to host this year's Adult Vacation Bible School, sponsored by WNC Presbytery and the Mayland Fellowship. All of the studies focused on The Miracles of Jesus, and we all were inspired by the worship and fellowship we shared. Stay tuned for dates for 2024's AVBS!
